1) Londonino Nativity Scene
If you love Nativity Scene, you can’t miss this opportunity. You have to visit Palazzo Pirelli, via Fabio Filzi 22, near the railway stations, the Centrale and Garibaldi, the Londonino Presepe . A rediscovered work composed of 60 characters painted on paper shapes and hand-made by Francesco Londonio, a lombard artist of the eighteenth century. It will be open until January 10th.
2) Ice skating
People who love to skate, slide on the seductive slopes, can not miss the skating ring located in Piazza XXV Aprile, near Porta Garibaldi. It remain available until February 3. On the day of the Epiphany, you can see the traditional show “Epiphany Stars on Ice”, in the presence of numerous sporting champions.
3) Christmas villages
A good idea for the little ones? There are two villages dedicated to Christmas in Milan. Until 6 January, you can visit the Village of Wonders in Montanelli Gardens: two skating rings, the house of Santa Claus and a carpet of artificial snow. A second magical and fascinating village has been set up on the Navigli. This is the Darsena Christmas Village: the Christmas tree, the Christmas market, the house of Santa Claus and his sleigh will be the background to another skating ring that reflects in the waters of the dock.
4) Works of art
For the 11th consecutive year, Palazzo Marino, the city hall of Milan, will host a free masterpiece. From December 1 to January 13, you can see “The Adoration of the Magi of Perugino”, absolute protagonist of the Italian Renaissance. A wonderful work that will remain in Milan, available to the population and tourists, free of charge, and which is usually hosted by the Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria.
